Sino-Japan Training Project on Coalmine Safety and Technology

It is a cooperative project between the governments of China and Japan . On April 8, 2002, a memorandum of understanding on the project was signed by SAWS and the New Energy Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan , with NCICS in charge of the implementation. Under this 5-year project, SAWS will send 468 Chinese trainees to receive training in Japan and organize another 2,000 trainees to receive training delivered by Japanese experts in China .
