About NCICS
The
National
Center
for International Exchange & Cooperation in
Work Safety(NCICS), founded in 1975, is a non-profitable, public service
organization directly under the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS),
specialized for international exchange and cooperation in the field of
workplace safety and occupational health. NCICS’s business includes organizing international conferences and exhibitions,
technical exchange activities, domestic and overseas training courses,
management and implementation of inter-government cooperative projects,
information research and consulting, external services and international
tourism and enjoys advantages of resources, access to information and
professionals to provide all-round foreign-oriented services to the government,
enterprises and institutions and for the cause of workplace safety and
occupational health.
NCICS is an
internationally-famous organizer of specialized conferences and exhibitions and
possesses the qualifications recognized by the government for organizing
international activities, which is supported by a team of experienced senior
professionals, with successes in organizing a number of large international
conferences and exhibitions, such as the China International Forum on Work
Safety, the China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition,
the Coaltrans China conference, the China-Australia
Coal Summit, the China International Conference on Control and Utilization of
Mine Gas, etc.
NCICS is a
specialized international training service provider and possesses the
qualifications recognized by the government for delivering training at home and
abroad, which is supported by first-rate experts, training materials and
mechanisms. In recent years, NCICS has collaborated with the International Labor
Organization (ILO), the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the
International Association of
Labor Inspection
(IALI) and government agencies, institutions, associations and companies of the
United States, Germany, the U. K., France, South Africa, Japan, Russia and
Australia in organizing training courses for high- and medium-level government
safety inspectors and safety management and technical personnel of enterprises
and delivering special training courses on mine safety, the safety of hazardous
chemicals, construction safety, road traffic safety, safety culture, safety
legislation, emergency rescue, etc., which has been highly valued by competent
government agencies, such as the State Administration of Foreign Experts
Affairs, and received extensive support from people in the profession.
NCICS is an
information and consulting service provider in the field of international
workplace safety and occupational health. With abundant information resources,
NCICS releases and studies information on the major events and the latest
technologies, policies and developments of workplace safety and occupational
health at home and abroad in its monthly publication International News on Work Safety, and on its website in both
Chinese and English to support the policy-makers of the government and
enterprises with necessary information and provide referential materials for
policy-making, planning and scientific research.
NCICS is the main
channel of the State Administration of Work Safety to carry out international
exchange and cooperation in the area of workplace safety and occupational
health of the country. It organizes extensive professional exchange in the area
of policy making, technology and standards and introduces experts and expertise
from overseas with a view to learning the advanced safety culture, experiences
in safety regulation, and safety techniques from other countries of the world.
It also manages and implements a series of inter-government and multilateral
and non-government cooperative projects such as the China-U.S. Program to
Improve Mine Safety in
China

the China-Japan Cooperation in Coal Mine Safety, etc.
